Hudson Rodrigues is a photographer and creative director, a black man from São Paulo-SP, Brazil. Graduated in graphic design, he started shooting on one side of his urban themes and other themes for an urban scene depicting a big side and his other urban themes, and but he doesn't have the urban aspect on a big side and his everyday characters. His first solo exhibition was in 2018 at MIS, “BAMBAS”. And in 2019, he was the winner of the Pérsio Galembeck National Photography Salon. In 2020, as creative director, he made music videos for Brazilian artists Projota and Drik Barbosa, among other projects. His work has been on Rolling Stone Brasil, Vice, Eyeshot Street Fashion, omenelick2ato.

When and where did you start photographing?

HR: I started photographing in 2007 in the streets of São Paulo - Brazil, after years of thinking and studying about photography.

Who/ Whom has been the reference of your photography?

HR: My references are a mix of everything I like, as I like many things I try to find myself in a range from street photography, documentary, fashion and other things. Right now my reference has been studying the photographer Gordon Parks.

What do you want to communicate through your photographs?

HR:I want to show ways of living, to show things that exist but that other people cannot see. Show how I see these things, a particular truth of mine.
